Princeton, NJ - Gryphon cross-country teams had a strong showing in their final tune-up before the championship phase of their season.  The Gryphons competed at the Princeton Invitational bringing home two team medals and one individual medal.  The Gryphon women finished second overall led by Katelyn Ayers silver medal winning performance.  Ayers and teammate Katrina Allison were involved in a tight six person kick down the stretch, Ayers grabbed the silver in a photo finish with race winner Blanca Fernandez of Temple.   Allison was close behind in fifth place.  The next Gryphon across was Sophie Watts placing 14th overall.  Behind the Gryphons strong lead three the Gryphons had a pack of four runners in an 11 second gap, led by Charlotte Ward (30th) and Cheryse Mitton (31st).   Unfortunately for the Gryphons the pack was a little further back than Penn's 4th and 5th runners giving the Quackers the title with a score of 71 to 82 for the Gryphons.
